Zaheer Khan omits Shaw & Dhawan from his 15 member Indian T20 squad
India’s former left-arm pace great Zaheer Khan has selected his personal 15 member squad which he thinks will be fit to compete in the T20I World cup.
There have been 3-4 surprise omissions in the squad.
Zaheer did not consider the Delhi Capitals opening duo Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan. He also omitted the Mumbai Indians allrounder, Krunal Pandya, from the squad but kept another Mumbai Indians talent Rahul Chahar, who was excellent in the recent Sri Lanka tour. For the first choice openers, Zaheer chose the tried and trusted Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. In the middle order he considered Surya Kumar Yadav & Ishan Kishan alongside skipper Virat Kohli. Followed by Rishabh Pant the keeper and allrounder (?) Hardik Pandya.
Zaheer left out Kuldeep from the list of 4 spinners which includes Jadeja, Yuzi Chahal, Rahul Chahar & Varun Chakravarthy or Washington Sundar.
The fast bowling has a surprise omission in Md Siraj. Who has improved by leaps and bounds in white ball in last one year. Bumrah, Shami & Deepak Chahar are in his team. He kept Bhuvneshwar Kumar as an option with Natarajan.
