Yashasvi Jaiswal on fire in Oman one dayers

The Mumbai team is playing limited over matches in Oman as a part of Oman’s World T20 preparation. Mumbai’s latest batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal is in prolific touch on this tour as the tourists played their 1st one dayer at Al Amerat Cricket Ground at Oman against the hosts.

Put in to bat  first Oman managed 196 in 48 overs. Their batters were trying to  build partnerships but they kept losing regular wickets. Their opener Khawar Ali played a resilient knock of 52 off 73 balls.

The middle order tried but failed to contribute sufficiently but Khalid Kail was looking ominous. He went on to score 76 runs from 85 balls which helped Oman reach a total of 196 in 48 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal on fire in Oman one dayers

In reply Mumbai looked confident as they went about the chase but they kept losing wickets . However the presence of Yashasvi Jaiswal calmed their nerves . Jaiswal was in sublime form scoring with ease . He had a productive stand with Hardik Tamore , who scored an unbeaten 51 off 70 balls which eventually win the game for Mumbai rather easily in the 44th over .

Jaiswal finally made  82 off 79 balls before getting out to Bilal Shah . He looked assured, kept his calm & chose the right balls to hit .He smashed 5 fours and 5 sixes .  One of his best shots was a 6 off a left arm spinner which was timed so perfectly and hit effortlessly that it went out of the park .

This is big news for his franchise Rajasthan Royals . The Royals team management has played Jaiswal in last couple of games before the IPL 2021 had to be halted due to covid penetrating the  bio bubble .  One hopes that Jaiswal will be a regular feature in the Royals XI going forward .
