Yadav Batted Like he was Playing an IPL Game
Suryakumar Yadav has received a lot of support and praise from the former Indian cricketers and love from cricket fans. His walk back to the pavilion sure was sad as he had to leave the field on the technicality of the soft signal rule. But his amazing inning of 57 runs has earned him the respect that every player dreams of.
It was the first time the cricketer was batting for India and his inning of 31 balls was full of wonderful shots. He hit six fours and three sixes and made a score of 57. It was a do-or-die match for India and one can safely say that without Yadav’s contribution India would not have been able to build the score of 185 which led them to level the series by 2-2.
YUVARJ’S WORLD CUP TEAM WILL SURELY HAVE YADAV
Yuvraj Singh has been raving about the new cricketer since his splendid game against England. Yadav Batted Like he was Playing an IPL Game and he took to Twitter and wrote that he was happy for Suryakumar Yadav. He said that Yadav had played the game like he was batting in an IPL match. He also made a promise in his tweet. Yuvraj Singh wrote that if he created a World Cup squad, Yadav would surely be a part of it.
GOT HIS LONG DUE OPPORTUNITY
Suryakumar Yadav was all set for the match. His determination was visible on his face. And it was natural. The cricketer had debuted in the second T20I against England but did not get any chance to bat. This was pronounced to be the worst debut by some former Indian cricketers. Gautam Gambhir was one of them.
He said that if he had been in Yadav’s position, it would have hurt him. He also advocated that players like Yadav should be given more chances to prove themselves.
Gambhir’s suggestion worked and Yadav was brought back for the fourth T20I wherein he proved that he was worth being included in the playing XI. Yadav had replaced Ishan Kishan in the fourth match but after the batting skills that he has displayed, he sure will qualify for his talent.
READY TO BAT AT ANY POSITION
Yadav is ready to bat at any position but he was happy to be selected to bat higher up in the order. He said that he had batted at all positions in his cricket career till now and this is what has made him flexible and ready to bat at any position. Yadav said that he has also told the team management the same thing. The player is ready to appear on the field at any number.
Yadav also revealed that he was informed in the morning about the batting order. Team management wanted him to take some time to prepare. He promised himself and the management that he would “make full use of the opportunity given”.
His brilliant performance has earned him a place in the ODI squad, his maiden call-up for One Day International. Yadav surely would be looking forward to this opportunity.
