Wriddhiman Saha has asked for NOC from CAB to play for another state ,here is the reason

Off field controversies is refusing to leave veteran wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha . After the Boria Majumdar episode leading to the journalist being banned for two years by BCCI, Saha has landed in another clash , this time with Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) . Saha has got miffed at some nasty comments made by a local cricket official questioning his commitment for Bengal cricket.

Saha was recently included in the Ranji team of Bengal for the next round of Ranji matches after IPL .  Bengal has to play the quarter-final match of the Ranji Trophy against Jharkhand on 6 June.  Saha is now contemplating leaving Bengal Cricket and  has sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).  News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that 37-year-old Saha is upset with a CAB officer’s remarks.  Sources also said that Saha has said that he was not contacted before announcing the squad for the knockout match.

 It is understood that Saha has spoken to CAB President Avishek Dalmiya and sought NOC from him to leave the Bengal cricket team.  The source said, “He is no longer interested in playing for Bengal cricket.  He has sought NOC as he is very angry with the CAB officer (Joint Secretary Debabrata Das) who has questioned his commitment.  Saha wants the official to publicly apologize.

 After being denied selection for the national team, Saha decided not to play in the league stage of the Ranji Trophy.  He is currently performing brilliantly for Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022 and has scored 281 runs with the help of three half-centuries.  The captaincy of the Bengal team is in the hands of Abhimanyu Easwaran.  Apart from Saha and Shami , Manoj Tiwari, Minister of State for Sports of West Bengal was also included in this team.
