Washington Sundar suffers finger injury out of Eng tour with Gill

Injury issues continue to haunt the Indian test squad which is getting ready to face England in a 5 test series.
Already Shubman Gill has returned home after his leg injury has prevented him from taking part in the England series.  Now Washington Sundar, another member of the Indian squad has apparently suffered a finger injury and is out of the England series as well. The detail of Sundar’s finger injury is still awaited.


Earlier India’s standby fast bowler, Avesh Khan who was with the touring party has suffered a finger fracture and is also returning to India. Washington Sundar suffers finger injury out of Eng tour with Gill.

Both Avesh and Sundar was playing for the combined county XI against the Indians in the tour match. Both of them had to be hurriedly included into the combined county XI. Due to non-availability of the local players due to injury and covid issues.


It is clear that Avesh has suffered an injury. While playing that match while Sundar’s reason for injury occurrence is yet to be known.
