Warner’s calm reaction to a fan’s query about his drop from playing XI

The IPL 2021 will again resume in UAE from September onwards. It remains to be seen how will Sunrisers Hyderabad shape up in the renaming league phase.

SRH is not only at the bottom of the table being one of the pre-tournament favourites. But they also changed the captain just before the event had to be suspend due to covid spread within the bio bubble. Warner’s calm reaction to a fan’s query about his drop from playing XI.

The original captain David Warner was struggling to get runs at a fast rate and looked out of form. The team think tank took it as one of the reasons for SRH’s poor showing. Replaced Warner as captain with Kane Williamson who led the team to a runner up title in 2018. When Warner was suspend by his board due to the Newlands ball-tampering scandal.

Not only Warner’s captaincy was taken away but he was even drop for the next game. Which created a big furore amongst the Sunrisers fan base. The fans were livid at the decision of the management as Warner has been a heartbeat for SRH since he started playing for them.

In a recent Instagram interaction one fan asked Warner, whose idea it was to drop him. To which Warner responded with 4 smiling emojis without any comment as under:

It is widely rumored that there was some disagreements between Warner and team director of operations Tom Moody. Which led to Warner’s sacking of captaincy and subsequent loss of spot in the XI.

Now with the English players uncertain for the remainder of the IPL as was earlier communicate by ECB. If Jonny Bairstow does not turn up in the September phase then Warner is sure to get back his opening spot.

However, without Bairstow SRH will be further weakened. Maybe they may try out a makeshift opener like Saha or Manish Pandey to partner Warner at the top.
