Warner blames himself for Sunrisers loss to CSK
David Warner was seen to be very livid with himself when he was not able the strike the ball well and was repeatedly hitting shots straight to the fielders in IPL 2021. His struggling run a ball 57 did not help Sunrisers as they fell at least 20 short on a fine batting wicket at Delhi. Had it not been for Kane Williamson’s rapid cameo at the end, SRH would have ended their innings even below 160.
In his post match talk Warner totally blamed his own batting for the team’s loss . He said his inability to pierce the gaps and raise the strike rate affected his team’s chances.
Warner credited the CSK openers for putting up a great partnership that took the game away from the Sunrisers
Warner blames himself for Sunrisers loss to CSK. He praised Manish Pandey for his fine contribution and also clarified the reason for Kane Williamson not batting at 3.
“He was going to bat 4 and at the end of the day, we soaked up too many balls.”
“At the end of the day, he bats at 4 and that’s his job.” Warner said on Williamson’s batting order.
Warner reiterated that the team will be hurting after this loss but will be positive in coming games.
