Virat Kohli reveals bowling formula for rest of the series

The 1st England vs India test of the 2021 series has ended in a draw courtesy rain playing spoilsport on the 5th day with the match tantalisingly poised.

India needed 157 more runs to win and they had 9 wickets in hand. Though play happening on the 5th day means England bowlers would have bowled in favourable conditions.

Virat Kohli was disappointed that the match was washed out on the last day.  He said that the team was expecting rains on the 3rd and 4th days. But it came down on the 5th day. Virat Kohli reveals bowling formula for rest of the series.

Virat expressed his happiness on the start India got in the 2nd innings. And said that the intent was to go for the target and not to just play for the survival. But said it was a shame that the match could not be completed.

Virat has also revealed the bowling formula for Team India for the rest of the series. He said that four fast bowlers and just one spinner is possibly  the way to go for this series unless there are changes in conditions.

Kohli’s declaration of the 4-1 bowling formula means Ashwin will find it difficult to break into the XI with Jadeja delivered so well with the bat in a fragile middle order.

Better and drier weather is expected at Lords and hence it remains to be seen whether Kohli goes ahead with his declared formula .
