Virat Kohli has been inspired by Anushka Sharma’s dedication and support towards stray animals and making him see their difficulties.

Earlier this year Virat mentioned that he is setting up 2 animal care facilities in Mumbai and in relation to that  the Virat Kohli Foundation has inaugurated a trauma and rehab centre for stray animals at Madh, Malad in Mumbai in five months time.

In a statement, Kohli mentioned,  “I admire Anushka’s dedication towards the welfare of animals, and I have drawn my inspiration from her. It is our dream to create a safer space for the stray animals of our city. We are excited to announce that the centre is ready, and hope to make a difference through this noble initiative,”

The new centre will look after and treat the injured or suffering stray animals in that area in collaboration with the Vivaldi’s Animal Health and Awaaz Voice of Stray Animals.

The CEO of the Vivaldi’s Animal Health unit Mr Kunal Khanna has hailed the Kohli – Anushka initiative for stray animals and has pledged to work together for more such important initiatives.
