New Delhi: Prithvi Shaw gets hurt during fielding in the final match of national one day cricket championship for Vijay Hazare Trophy against Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. He had to leave the ground due to a leg injury. Dispite this injuy, he opened the inning for Mumbai. The final match between the two teams is being played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
The current tournament’s top scorer, Prithvi Shaw, suffered an injury while fielding in the first slip in the 24th over of Uttar Pradesh’s innings. When Uttar Pradesh opener Madhav Kaushik’s shot hit the Prithvi Shaw. Madhav was trying to play young ball of leg-spinner Prashant Solanki.
The ball hit the front (shin) of the left leg of the Mumbai captain and this right-handed batsman fell on the ground, groaning with pain. The physio and teammates then took Prithvi Shaw out of the ground. As you know that, Prithvi has so far scored a total of four centuries, including an unbeaten double century in the tournament.
