Indian stars Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma , has done well in recent round of WBBL matches , with some of their exploits earning wins for their respective teams.
In the Melbourne Renegades game vs Sydney Sixers, Harmanpreet Kaur was at her best bowling 4 overs and taking 2/17 including key wickets of Alyssa Healy caught and bowled and Asleigh Gardner to restrict a strong Sixers batting line up to 118 . In the chase Harman closed out the match with a fluent 35 not out off 29 balls and hitting 2 mightily swept 6s at the end to finish and game and was player of the match .
In the Renegades vs Thunder game , player of the match , Jemimah Rodrigues finally scored her first WBBL 50. She played wonderful shots all round the wicket for her 75 notout of only 56 balls to taken Renegades to 142 . In that innings Deepti Sharma of Thunder bowled tight to get 1/23 off 4 overs.
Finally when Thunder batted, Mandhana coming off 3 single digit scores in previous matches , batted superbly for her dazzling 64 off 44 balls with 4 fours & 1 six. However the middle order failed to accelerate till Deepti Sharma came out and hammered 23 notout of just 10 balls to take Thunder extremely close but they lost by 9 runs . In the Thunder innings it was Harmanpreet (1/35 off 4 overs ) who clean bowled Mandhana after her brilliant innings .

Deepti Sharma scored 44 notout and took 1/28 in Thunder’s previous game vs Melbourne Stars . However her team lost the low scoring match .
Richa Ghosh playing for Hobart Hurricanes , after a few quiet games , scored a fine match closing innings of 24 notout off 16 balls with 4 fours to help her team beat Stars by 6 wickets and get first win on board .
However Shafali Verma hasn’t really come off in recent games for her team. Poonam Yadav bowled few economical spells for Brisbane Heat while Radha Yadav bowled well in patches for sixers.
Currently Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades are heading the points table .
