After getting a polished 50 in the 1st ODI , Virat Kohli was expected to play a big innings against South Africa on Friday.  But King Kohli got out without opening the account. He was caught off spinner Keshav Maharaj by Temba Bavuma after facing only 5 balls. Hence the wait for his 71st century continues .

Now a video is going viral on social media, in which Virat Kohli is seen in a very relaxed mood in the dressing room despite getting out for a duck.  In the video, Kohli is doing dance moves, seeing that opener Shikhar Dhawan has a smile on his face. It was at the time when Rishabh Pant who scored a superb 85 , had just played a good shot .   Kohli is known for his strong temper on the field but  cheerful nature when he is off the field.

Virat Kohli had recently also resigned from the Test captaincy.  Earlier, Kohli had also relinquished the captaincy of T20 Internationals last year, while BCCI removed him from ODI captaincy.  In such a situation, the 33-year-old Kohli will now play as a specialist batsman in the next phase of his career not only for India but also for his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Kohli was dismissed for zero in One Day Internationals after two years.  Earlier in December 2019, Kohli could not open his account against West Indies.  Overall, Kohli has been dismissed for zero for the 14th time in One Day Internationals.

Former captain Kohli last scored a century in the day-night Test against Bangladesh in November 2019.  Then he played a brilliant innings of 136 runs in the Day-Night Test held at the Eden Gardens.  Since that century, Kohli has played a total of 64 international innings, but the wait for the century is still on.

Meanwhile riding on Rishabh Pant’s superb 85 , KL Rahul’s 55 and a fine 40 by Shardul Thakur, India managed to score 287 in their batting innings in the 3rd ODI
