T20I cricket gradually kicked off in mid-2000s and now it is a craze in world cricket. It’s the format which has already started to globalise the game.

With 20 overs to bat it is not an easy job for the batsman to get a 100 in T20I. However, we have already witnessed 150 plus scores in this event with the gradual increase of scoring rates in this format and shortened boundaries. Aaron Finch 172 v Zimbabwe 2018

At Harare in 22018, Australian limited-overs captain, Aaron Finch produced a stunning inning of 172 to post the highest score in a T20I match. In that innings, he plundered runs off the Zimbabwean attack and was playing sparkling shots. Always a believer of playing in the V, Finch was hitting glorious cover drives, well-timed lofted shots down the ground, savage cuts and pulls, and brutal hits down the mid-wicket and long leg before he got hit wicket in the last over for 172 off just 76 balls with 16 fours and 10 sixes.

Hazratullah Zazai 162* v Ireland 2019

Zazai is a belligerent left-hander from Afghanistan who played an electrifying knock of 162 not out off just 62 balls with 11 fours and 16 sixes at Dehradun against Ireland. Most of his strokes were played through the on side with his hoicks and his fierce pull shots. He totally annihilated the Ireland bowling and won the match comfortably for Afghanistan.

Aaron Finch 156 v England 2013

Finch played another exceptional knock vs England. 156 off a mere 63 balls with 11 fours & 14 sixes at Southampton. He butchered the England bowling attack playing numerous pull shots. Making room to score through the off side and played many lofted shots down the ground. As he took Australia to 248 to which England fell 39 short.

Glenn Maxwell 145* v Srilanka 2016

At Pallekele in Srilanka, Glen Maxwell was in devastating form. As he blew away the Srilankan bowling and scored a thrilling 145 not out off 65 balls with 14 fours and 9 sixes. It was attacking batting at its fiercest. Savage pulls and hoicks on the side followed by shots straight down and ground. And make room on the offside and his patent reverse sweeps were all in evidence in his match-winning innings.


MP O Dowd (Netherlands) 133* v Malaysia 2021

The fifth highest individual T20I score came from MP O Dowd. The aggressive opening batsman of associate member of ICC. Therefore, the Netherlands when he plundered 133 not out off 73 nalls with 15 fours and 6 sixes vs Malaysia. The strongly built, long-haired O Dowd played an innings full of predominately onside hits and smacking them off the front foot.
