Dot balls are an important part of any cricket match especially T20 cricket. It adds to more pressure on the batsmen and frustrates him from not scoring and often leads to fall of wickets. Let’s see who the the top 5 dot ball bowlers in IPL history .

1-Harbhajan Singh 159 innings 1258 Dots

Harbhajan Singh has been one of the most experienced IPL cricketers since 2008 edition. He played for much of his IPL career in Mumbai Indians till he made a move to CSK in 2019 and now playing for KKR. He holds many bowling records and is right at the top of the list in bowling the highest number of dot balls — 1258 in 159 innings of bowling.

2- Bhuvneshwar Kumar 123 innings 1,184 Dots

In his 10-year IPL career mainly with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvi is the linchpin of the SRH attack. He provided regular breakthroughs in the powerplay with his skilful swing bowling and tight lines which enabled him to bowl around 1184 dots in 123 innings to date and he is in 2nd spot.

3 -Ravichandran Ashwin 152 innings 1179 Dots

Ashwin started with CSK, then moved to Punjab and currently with Delhi Capitals. His skilful bowling in the powerplay and middle overs for more than a decade in IPL enabled him to bowl 1179 dot balls in 152 innings

4- Lasith Malinga 122 innings 1155 Dots

Widely regarded as the best bowler in IPL history, Malinga was the heart and soul of Mumbai Indians bowling for over a decade taking 170 wickets and was a part of their 4 out of 5 IPL titles. With his fast, straight yorkers at death and his immaculate lengths, Malinga bowled 1155 dot balls in 122 innings to be 4th on the list.

5- Piyush Chawla 163 Innings 1148 Dots

Piyush Chawla has been one of the most underrated bowlers in IPL history but has a great record. He was most successful with KKR winning the IPL in 2012 and 2014. Later he played for CSK and currently with Mumbai Indians. In terms of dot balls he holds the 5th spot with 1148 dots in 163 innings.
