Swann backs Kohli to dominate Anderson in Ind v Eng Test series
Virat Kohli & James Anderson had great contests in India vs England series played in England in 2014 & 2018.
In 2014 Anderson was getting Kohli out for fun so much so that Kohli barely totalled 100 runs in the 5 test series.
However, Kohli worked very hard on his game for English conditions and came back with vengeance in the 2018 series reeling off nearly 600 runs in 5 tests with 2 centuries. In the 2018 series Anderson, went very close to getting Kohli a couple of times ( Kohli was dropped off a sitter in the first innings when on 20) in the series but this time the luck smiled on the Indian and Anderson failed to get Kohli even once. Swann backs Kohli to dominate Anderson in Ind v Eng Test series.
Graeme Swann, former England spin great feels that Kohli in the coming tests will get the better of Anderson. Swann said that Kohli must be looking at the videos of his duels with Anderson in 2018 and trying to remember the techniques he employed. He further said that Kohli is adaptable and he can score anywhere in the world.
Swann did not feel worried at Kohli’s recent lack of centuries. He said that not getting 100s does not mean that he is not batting well and in fact, he played some fine knocks in the England series in India and in the 1st innings of the WTC final. Swann further added at with 5 tests at his disposal Kohli will get enough opportunities to announce himself in the series and will surely stamp his mark on the tour
