Swami Shraddhanand College reached quarter-finals of the Om Nath Sood Cricket with an easy win

  • Sanchit scored 84 runs off 55 balls by hitting 6 sixes and 7 fours

New Delhi: Swami Shraddhanand College entered the quarter-finals of the 31st All India Hitkary Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at the Rashtriya Swabhiman Khel Parisar ground. Swami Shraddhanand College registered an easy victory over Rohtak Road Gymkhana by 6 wickets. In an easy victory of Swami Shraddhanand College, Sanchit Sabharwal (84 runs) hit half-century while Aman Saharawat (3/26) bowled brilliantly.   

Chief guest Jitendra Gaba conferred the Kuber Man of the Match award to Sanchit Sabharwal and also presented the Parky Consolation prize to Dhruv Ghai.

Batting first, At one time, Rohtak Road Gymkhana had scored 110 runs for 2 wickets in 24.3 overs, but the full team was piled up for just 159 runs in 39.3 overs in front of the deadly bowling of Aman Saharawat. Aman took 3 wickets for 26 runs. Dhruv Ghai hit 53 runs from Rohtak Road Gymkhana.

In reply, the Swami Shraddhanand College team achieved an easy target of 160 runs by losing 4 wickets in just 21.3 overs. Sanchit Sabharwal was the top scorer with 84 runs and Himanshu Rana scored 49 runs. Dhruv Ghai took two wickets.
