Surya throws light on Kishan batting
Mumbai Indians threw a small surprise in their batting order while batting first in their match against Punjab Kings they had sent Ishan Kishan at number 3 instead of Surya Kumar Yadav who had batted at number 3 in previous games.
When he was asked about this change at the press conference, Surya mentioned that there is an understanding within the management and the dressing room that if a left-hander gets dismissed at the top order and another left-hander should walk out to bat or viceversa .
Surya throws light on Kishan batting at 3 in the MI v PBKS match & Surya also mentioned that he is comfortable with this decision.
However, the movie didn’t work as Ishan Kishan who has not yet got his batting rhythm in this IPL was out cheaply for 6 off 17 balls.
It may also be mentioned that the Mumbai Indians coach Mahela Jayawardene had indicated in an earlier interview that he intends to change the batting order at times to catch the opposition on the wrong foot.
However, with most of the Mumbai Indian batsmen struggling to find rhythm , these subtle changes may not be productive .
