New Delhi: Rann Star Cricket Club entered the quarter-finals of the 31st All India Hitkary Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at Rashtriya Swabhiman Khel Parisar. With the help of Vijayan Panchal (80 not out) half-century and four wickets of Karthik Pawar, Rann Star Cricket Club defeated SS Sports Club by six runs in a thrilling match. For the defeated team SS Sports Club, Jitesh Saroha played an unbeaten innings of 130-run in 104 balls by hitting 2 sixes and 16 fours.

Batting first, Ran Star Cricket Club scored 294 runs for 6 wickets in 40 overs with the help of half-centuries from Vijayan Panchal and Abhishek Goswami. Vijayan remained unbeaten on 80 runs with the help of 11 sixes and a four off just 23 balls. Abhishek scored 79, Vaibhav Kandpal scored 41 and Priyanshu Vijayran scored 33 runs. Prince Mehra took three and Abhishek Shaukeen took two wickets.
In reply, the SS Sports team lost four wickets for 42 runs in order to achieve the target of 295 runs. But despite Jitesh Saroha’s unbeaten 130 runs, SS Sports could only manage 288 for 8 wickets in the scheduled 40 overs. Jitesh Saroha scored 130 not out, Dhruv Singh 45 and Vikram Mehra scored 33 runs. Karthik Pawar took four wickets.
