New Delhi: Sonnet Cricket Club and Ravinder Fagna Academy has entered the semi-finals of the Hitkari Delhi Capitals Junior Cricket League. Useful innings of Mihir Doignesh (66 not out) and Shaurya Sidhu (31 not out) and superb bowling by Ruvik Malhotra (2/12) helped Sonnet Cricket Club beat Telefunken Cricket Club by three wickets.
Batting first, Sonnet Cricket Club scored 150 for seven with the help of a half-century from Mihir Doignesh. Mihir Doignesh scored an unbeaten 66 off 85 balls with the help of eight fours. Shaurya Sidhu was unbeaten on 31 runs.
In reply, Telefunken Cricket Club was all-out for 149 runs. For Telefunken, Parikshit Sehrawat scored 32 and Yash Dwivedi played an unbeaten innings of 29 runs. Sonnet bowler Ruvik Malhotra took 2 wickets for 12 runs.
In another match, Ravinder Fagna Cricket Academy (111/2) beat Sports Cube (109 runs) by eight wickets thanks to a half-century from Gurtej Sidhu and superb bowling by Mohammad Shanib (3/23). For the winning team, Rishabh took two wickets for 20 runs while Parth Bhadana also played an unbeaten innings of 23 runs. HOD Rajesh Kumar of Bal Bhavan School conferred the Man of the Match award to Gurtej Sidhu. Gurtej Sidhu scored an unbeaten 64 from 77 balls with the help of ten fours.
