Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have been effective openers throughout the series. At the Lord’s Test, the duo created a century together and at Nottingham and Oval. They managed to establish a partnership over 50 runs. They also played well separately when one of the partners got out early. KL Rahul played out his part as an opener at Lord’s and hit a century. Rohit Sharma did the same at the Oval. It won’t be wrong to say that India found itself in a stronger position. Only because of the way its openers played in each match.
