New Delhi: Sahgal Cricket Club reaches quarter finals and entered the quarter-finals of the 31st All India Hitkari Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament being played at the Rashtriya Swabhiman Khel Parisar. Sahgal Cricket Club thrashed the Ravi Brothers by a huge margin of 161 runs.
In the victory of Sahgal Cricket Club, Abhijeet Sharma scored 113 runs in 106 balls with the help of a six and 14 fours, while Zia-ul-Haq took 4 wickets for 25 runs, throwing a maiden in his 8 overs brilliant bowling. Chief guest Colonel Bhoop Raj Singh presented the Kuber Man of the Match award to Abhijeet Sharma. The consolation prizes were awarded to Zia-ul-Haq and Ayush Doseja. Ayush Doseja played an unbeaten innings of 51 runs for the defeated team.
Batting first, Sahgal Cricket Club reaches quarter finals and scored 251 runs for 7 wickets in 40 overs. Abhijeet Sharma hit a century while Chetan Bisht scored 43 and Prince Yadav scored 31 runs. Rocky Nagar and Ankit Bhadhana took 2–2 wickets. Abhijeet and Chetan scored 105 runs for the third wicket. In reply to the target of 252 runs, the Ravi Brothers team lost the first four wickets for just zero runs and the entire team was all-out for 90 runs in 24.3 overs.
Ayush Doseja, who scored a century in the last match, also played an unbeaten innings of 51 runs in this match. This is the first time in the history of 31 years of this tournament, when a team lost four wickets at a score of just zero. Prince Yadav and Faizan Alam took 2–2 wickets for Sehgal Club.
