Sanjay Manjrekar drops Jadeja from his playing XI for Lords test
Former Indian batsman and leading cricket expert Sanjay Manjrekar is lately known to attract controversies with his statements and views. After the 5th day of the 1st India v England test was washed out and the match was drawn. Manjrekar has once again courted controversy by coming out with his Indian XI for the 2nd test at Lords starting from 12 August.
In his latest round of controversial comments, Manjrekar has dropped Ravindra Jadeja from his imaginary playing XI. Drafted in Hanuma Vihari as the 6th batsman. He has also included Ashwin in the XI in place of Shardul Thakur.
Sanjay feels that there has been some issues with the form of a few of the Indian batsmen and hence he went with the additional specialist batsman Hanuma Vihari at 6 and pushing Pant at number 7 . Therefore he has dropped Jadeja who scored a crucial 56 in India’s first innings dragging the team out of trouble from 145/5. Sanjay Manjrekar drops Jadeja from his playing XI for Lords test.
As for Ashwin, Manjrekar feels that he should never have been dropped and hence he has replace Shardul Thakur with Ashwin. And is willing to play 3 seamers and one spinner.
It may be mention that Sanjay Manjrekar did mention Jadeja as a ” bit and pieces” cricketer in 2019. Which attracted a lot of controversy in the social media. And was also not taken too kindly by the left-arm spinning allrounder.
The Indian XI chosen by Manjrekar by excluding Jadeja. Is bound to create a lot of furore in the social media
