Saba Karim picks his favourites for the T20I World cup
The T20I world cup is still more than 3 months away. However, its excitement is gradually on the rise, considering the number of bilateral T20I series that is happening around the world, with all the top nations trying to play the format. South Africa and West Indies are playing an exciting T20 series currently in the Caribbean which will be followed by Australia who has reached the West Indies shores. India’s makeshift team has reached Srilanka to play 3 match T20I series in addition to ODIs and Pakistan are supposed to face England in July in the same format.
In the meantime, former Indian wicketkeeper Saba Karim has picked his best two teams for the forthcoming World T20I. Saba feels that West Indies are the top favourites followed by India at number 2. Saba Karim picks his favourites for the T20I World cup.
The reason forwarded by Saba Karim in choosing the West Indies is that they are a formidable batting side with a series of big hitters. As for India, he said that it is a talented team with a mixture of youth and experience.
“My No.1 team at this moment is West Indies and India is No.2. The West Indies team has plenty of match-winners, power-hitters who can hit sixes. India has both youth and experience, so they have a good balance.” Saba Karim said.
Saba also mentioned that England is also a formidable team with great balance and can win too.
West Indies are the only team which has till date won the T20I world cup twice in 2012 and 2016.
