Robinson reveals his plan to get Kohli out
Ollie Robinson is only playing his 3rd test match of his career but has already made himself into an asset for the team.
In Stuart Broad’s absence, he led the English bowling attack at Lords along with Anderson and bowled superbly with little luck.
However, he was delighted to get the wicket of Virat Kohli before the close with a ball pitched short of good length and moving away and the edge carried to Root at first slip.
Robinson revealed that the plan was to bowl on the 4th or 5th stump line to Kohli & induce the edge.
“Virat is probably my biggest wicket to date, so I was happy with that. It was a huge moment. The plan for him was always to bowl the fourth-fifth stump line, back of a length. Luckily the plan worked,” Robinson said.
Robinson also said that there were at least 14 to 15 edges that missed the bat which on another day could have been nicked and on another day India could have been 3 down for not many.
However Robinson credited the Indian openers for their fine performance .
