Richard Hadlee expresses injury-related worries about Bumrah’s future. Indeed Bumrah already had his share of injuries in his short career .
Hadlee said that Bumrah’s longevity in the game is yet to be determined. As he is likely to encounter more injury problems than those bowlers who have more classical actions.
Hadlee added that due to the stresses and strains on his body Bumrah will struggle to avoid more injuries .
The Kiwi legend , who himself based his bowling action on a classical mould in his prime. Explained that Bumrah has virtually no run up and all his strength comes from his final delivery stride .
Adding that it is very difficult to coach his technique Hadlee hoped that Bunrah would be able to minimise his injuries. And play for India on a long term basis as he is a rare breed who troubles batsmen with his unsuspecting pace and bounce and therefore is really exciting to watch .
