Rajasthan Royals may look at these 5 players to replace Buttler in IPL 2021 at UAE

Jos Buttler has already announced his unavailability in phase 2 of IPL 2021 to be played in the UAE after the Indian leg was aborted in May due to covid breakout in the bio bubble.  With the birth of his 2nd child expected during September Buttler will take a break during that month

Rajasthan Royals must have already looked at some of the options for a replacement and one feels that the same may arrive from the below players

Evin Lewis

The hard-hitting West Indian opener has played for Mumbai Indians in the past in 2018, 2019 but did not set the event on fire. However, currently, he is in supreme form with 1300 plus T20I runs at an outrageous 158 strike rate. And is a feared opening batsman in T20 cricket. His only weakness may be against spin but he has shown more maturity in last 2 years. And could be at the top of the list of replacement players for the Royals

Devon  Conway

Another hot favourite for the opening spot. A more complete batsman and more confident after his Lords test 200. Conway can blaze away at the top and also can bat through the innings. The New Zealander has 473 runs in just 11 T20I innings at a stunning 151  strike rate & can be an asset for the Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals may look at these 5 players to replace Buttler in IPL.

Alex Hales

Alex Hales has had a difficult relationship with ECB in past few years. Therefore could not build on his T20I career. However, he seems to be recovering well from the past off-field troubles; and smashed 543 runs in 15 BBL innings for Sydney Thunder. While he continues his efforts for an England comeback, he could well make another IPL comeback this year for Rajasthan after his earlier stints with SRH.

Colin Munro

The Kiwi lefthander was gutted after his omission from the New Zealand T20I world cup squad. Though he had inconsistent spells in IPL in the past, this incident of his omission should motivate him to prove the New Zealand selectors wrong. A dangerous player up the order and can be a good option for the Royals.

Josh Inglis

Highly regarded by Ricky Ponting, this Aussie BBL player has scored 941 runs in just 41 games for Perth Scorchers at a sensational strike rate of 143. He is now close to making his T20I debut for Australia . Inglis can be a good option if Royals want to try someone of an unknown quantity
