After a rain-marred Trent bridge test which according to many robbed India of a test win, all eyes are on the weather of the 2nd test at Lords.
In fact the 1st day’s play did not start auspiciously as rains delayed the start and it was cloudy for the whole of the 1st session with rains coming back before lunch.
However, the clouds thankfully cleared and the latter half of the day was played in brilliant sunshine helping KL Rahul to cash in with a brilliant 100.
The 2nd and 3rd days can have a mix of sunny and cloudy weather too. Clouds may arrive from the western side and though no continuously heavy rains are forecasted but the odd stoppages due to a rain spell may not be ruled out totally.
Sundays and Mondays ( 4th & 5th day ) are expected to be better weather days
However knowing the fickleness of the English weather, the fans will have to keep their fingers crossed in the hope that rains do not create any further damage on the test which looks pretty much poised in favour of India.
