Prithvi Shaw and Surya ends quarantine joins India team at Lords
BCCI has posted a tweet showing both Prithvi Shaw and Surya Kumar Yadav sitting together on Lords balcony. And watching the 2nd test which confirms that both the players have completed their mandatory 14-day quarantine and are ready for selection.
It may be recalled that both Shaw and Surya were kept away from India’s last 2 T20Is vs Srilanka due to coming in contact with covid hit Krunal Pandya. As a result, their departure of England got delayed. They could board the flight only on August 3 from Srilanka.
Since landing in England they stayed back in Nottingham to complete their 14-day quarantine. Now is free to join the rest of the team in practice sessions. Before the 3rd test which starts from 25 August. Hence both the players will have 9 days of training to stake their claims for a spot in the XI in the wake of India’s current middle order frailties in England.
