Two very important matches are to be played on Sunday between Bangaluru v Kolkata & Delhi v Punjab as all three of Delhi, Punjab and Kolkata will look to win after losses in their last game.

RCB are sitting pretty at the top of the tree with full points after 2 games. The major reason for their wins at Chennai is the fact that their bowlers had adjusted to the pitch wonderfully and some of their key batters have fired. The plan to play Shahbaz Ahmed in the 2nd game vs SRH proved to be a masterstroke as is the promotion of Maxwell at number four in both games. With the team in a good rhythm and having a settled look , hardly any changes are expected

Probable XI

Paddikal , Kohli, Shahbaz , Maxwell, de Villiers , Sundar, Christan, Jamieson , Harshal , Chahal , Siraj

KKR has few things to ponder. Some of their best batters are not firing in middle order like Morgan, Shakib and Russell . The middle order batting could not hold their nerves in a chase of a mediocre target vs MI after a decent opening stand .They need to play to the situation and recognise the weaker links in opposition bowling attacks . Also it remains to be seen whether they bring back Narine in the XI . Their bowlers have done well so far .

Probable XI

Gill, Rana , Tripathy , Morgan , Karthik , Russell , Shakib/ Narine , Cummins , Prasidh , Varun Chakrabarty, Harbhajan / Kuldeep

The North Indian Derby promises to be a cracker

Delhi Capitals will be disappointed to lose their last game against Rajasthan after they staged a great fightback with their bowlers till Morris for Royals stole the match . The batting struggled in the last game and it remains to be seen whether they play Smith to strengthen the middle order at the expense of Tom Curran who bowled poorly in the Royals game . Tom Curran can be replaced with Ishant or Umesh who can play for out of touch Rahane or Lalit Yadav . Surely their coach Ricky Ponting will be looking to get back to the winning ways and will talk to the captain Rishabh Pant to ensure that their best bowlers complete their quota of overs

Probable XI

Shaw, Dhawan , Smith , Pant , Stoinis , Lalit Yadav/ Rahane , Ashwin , Woakes , Rabada , Ishant/ Umesh , Avesh

Punjab Kings has everything to play for after a humiliating defeat to CSK in their last game in which their famed batting lineup completely imploded against Deepak Chahar’s opening burst . There could be a case to bring in Dawid Malan for misfiring Nicholas Pooran and hope that their other batters are able to counter a very strong Delhi bowling attack. Not many changes expected in their bowling as it was their batting which lost them their last game . However it is hoped that their two Aussie quicks will keep improving and get further adjusted to the conditions.

Probable XI

Rahul , Mayank , Gayle , Hooda , Malan / Pooran , Shahrukh , Jhye Richardson , M Ashwin , Meredith , Shami , Arshdeep

This we are hoping for a blockbuster Sunday with stars like Kohli, De Villiers , Maxwell , Pant , KL Rahul , Gayle , Russell , Morgan , Shaw , Rabada etc in action right through the evening starting from 3.30 PM
