Preview KKR v RR

The Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders game should turn out to be an interesting one as both teams will play hard to win to avoid further embarrassments. Both teams have already had some humiliating losses and the fans are livid with their performances. To avoid further disappointment, both teams will have to bring out their best. Thus the circumstances in which this match is played are good enough to unleash a cliffhanger.

Rajasthan needs their main players to fire and gets a good start in the powerplay. Buttler, Samson, and Miller are too inconsistent so far, hence they need to fire in unison. The team needs to replace Manan Vohra at the top as he has underperformed in all the games and maybe get Jaiswal or Lomhor to play. While there were encouraging signs from Shivam Dube and Tewatia in the lower middle order in the RCB game, Riyan Parag for all his talents needs to convert his 20s to 50,60s to get wins for Rajasthan.

The bowling has looked toothless at times on Mumbai pitch and hence all the bowlers need to adapt better except Sakariya who has performed well to date.

Probable XI

Buttler , Jaiswal / Vohra , Samson , Miller , Dube , Parag , Tewatia , Morris, Gopal , Sakariya , Mustafizur.

The KKR by contrast has a better bowling attack but not necessarily bowlers in the best of forms. More is expected from Cummins the bowler. He needs to provide wickets in the powerplay. The other fast bowlers need to be more ruthless in bowling better lines and Narine needs to fire.

The batting had some good news in the last game with Karthik, Russell and fast bowler Cummins blowing away the CSK bowling, though in a losing cause. However, runs are required from young Gill and skipper Morgan.

KKR ‘s great chase from a losing position against CSK must have given the team a lot of heart and if they are able to put together a good team effort, they will be favorites to win this one as there is better depth in KKR XI.

Probable XI:

Rana, Gill , Tripathi , Morgan , Karthik , Russell , Narine , Cummins , Nagarkoti, Varun, Prasidh

With the match being played at Mumbai, expect a high-scoring game and the team batting 2nd are at a more advantageous position though this is a pressure game, and runs on the board in such games can cause differences.
