Pakistan T20I World cup squad announced
Pakistan has finally announced their T20I World cup squad for the event to be held from 17th October onwards in Oman & UAE. A big surprise in the squad is the exclusion of senior batsman Fakkar Zaman from the 15 member team. Fakkar who has been one of the most successful white-ball cricketer for Pakistan. In the last 4 years is named in the reserves. Probably his recent ordinary form has much to do with his exclusion.
However judging the overall strength of the Pakistan batting, Fakkar’s exclusion is surprising.
Also not included in the squad are aggressive lefthander Sharjeel Khan , former captain Sarfraz Ahmed and batting allrounder Shoaib Malik.

That both since he and Misbah had together shaped the team. And it is hence appropriate that both step down together.
