On this day Sachin Tendulkar scored his world record 100th century accross formats

It was on 16th March 2012 at Dhaka , where Sachin Tendulkar completed 100th international 100s scoring 114 vs Bangladesh in Asia cup match . Having earlier scored 51 test hundreds, this was his 49th ODI century and it took a long time coming . Hence the relief on his face was evident after reaching the landmark. He played very well in that innings hitting flowing off drives and backfoot shots and had good partnerships with his record challenger Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina on his way to his 100th 100 completing the landmark off a legside flick of Shakib Al Hassan .
