Nehra picked his favored bowling combination for India in the WTC final
With IPL being aborted, all eyes are now on the WTC final between New Zealand and India in June. With lots of discussions going amongst fans and experts on the possible combination of the Indian bowling at Southampton, the venue for the final, Ashish Nehra has also weighed in with his suggestions.
Nehra picked his favored bowling combination for India in the WTC final. Nehra reasoned that if it is a normal test wicket, India should go in with 3 pacers and 2 spinners. He mentioned Bumrah , Shami and Ishant as his 3 fast bowlers and Ashwin and Jadeja as his spin duo.
Nehra reasoned that he will like to play both Ashwin and Jadeja as apart from their bowling. Their batting also will play a big part with both Ashwin and Jadeja showing their prowess with the bat in their latest respective test matches. Nehra further wants Ishant Sharma with his enormous experience in test cricket after playing 100 tests as part of the pace attack along with Bumrah and Shami. He feels that with Ishant, Ashwin and Jadeja, Indian bowling will have all bases covered.
Nehra, however, mentioned that if it is a greenish pitch then Mohammed Siraj, who put up a stellar show in Australia tour should be in the mix and in that case India should field four fast bowlers and one spinner.
