Dhoni is 5th in the all-time list of the highest 6 hitters in ODIs with 229 sixes in 350 ODIs in which he made runs at 87 strike rate. His sixes used to be powerful and generally big and long.

3rd highest knock by a keeper in tests :

Dhoni scored a brutal 224 vs Australia at Chennai test in 2013 which is the 3rd highest score by a wicketkeeper in tests. That innings came in 265 balls in which he plundered 24 fours and 6 sixes and totally destroyed the strong Australian bowling attack.

3rd highest ODI knock at number 6

In his brilliant 2013 season, Dhoni smashed 139 v Australia in an ODI at Mohali off 121 balls which is the 3rd highest ODI knock batting at number 6. A big achievement.

Dhoni holds the world record of playing the most number of T20I innings without a duck which is 84. In fact, he scored only 1 duck in his T20I career for India

Highest score by a keeper in ODIs

Dhoni holds the world record of the highest ODI score by a keeper when he plundered 183 off 145 balls vs Srilanka in 2005 studded with 15 fours and 10 sixes. It was the most brutal hitting at its very best before the T20 era. India successfully chased down a big target and won by 6 wickets banking on Dhoni’s 183.
