As if the humiliating loss to Delhi Capitals and his 2nd ball duck was not enough , MS Dhoni was also found guilty of slow over rates against Delhi Capitals .
As a result of the above the CSK legend will be fined Rs 12 lacs as a penalty for slow over rates .
The match against Delhi Capitals was billed as the captaincy contest between the old legend Dhoni and the new kid on the block Rishabh Pant . The contest apparently ended in favour of young Pant as CSK were outclassed by Delhi Capitals . However Pant did make a few captaincy errors in handing his bowlers , the main amongst them was not completing the overs of Chris Woakes who gave away only 18 runs in 3 overs. Woakes looked menacing during powerplay swinging the ball , hence another over of him during powerplay would have helped Capitals. However Pant had the last laugh as Delhi won the match convincingly.
With their bowling looking less penetrative in 1st game, Dhoni has more aspects to worry on than just maintenance of over rates.
