Mentor Glenn McGrath praises Prasidh
Australia pace legend Mentor Glenn McGrath praises Prasidh Krishna on his successful test debut in which he created a new record of maximum wickets by a pace bowler on debut in an ODI for India.
Krishna impressed with his pace to claim 4/54 against World champion ODI team England after the tourists looked set to win the game on the back of a great start at 135/0 in 14 overs.
McGrath, who had earlier taken to social media to congratulate Prasidh on being selected in the Indian squad, wrote, “Congratulations Prasidh @skiddyy on taking 4/54 & breaking the Indian record for most wickets taken by a bowler on ODI debut. Well done mate #cricket #mrfpacefoundation #fbc.
In 2019 Prasidh Krishna spend considerable time in Cricket Australia center of excellence where he trained as a part of MoU between the MRF pace academy and Cricket Australia.
Prasidh, who was over the moon on getting praise from the Aussie great , showed gratitude on McGrath’s contributions to his fledging career stating that he brought about an aura of calmness into his game and was very particular about line and length on various pitches and advised him to be consistent and to stay in the present.
