Mehidy Hasan delighted at reaching the number 2 spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings

Bangladesh’s promising off-spinner Mehidy Hasan is playing international cricket for around 5 years from a young age and is fast developing into a fine bowling allrounder. He has always shown his skills in test cricket and off late has improved by leaps and bounds in ODIs.

In the current Srilanka v Bangladesh series Mehidy has taken 4/30 and 3/28 in successive matches with the new ball and proved his fast-improving capabilities. His spells have helped Bangladesh to beat Sri Lanka for the first time in an ODI series. And has also catapulted him to the 2nd spot in the best bowlers list for ODIs according to the latest rankings published by ICC which is a great moment for Bangladesh cricket.

Mehidy Hasan delighted at reaching the number 2 spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings. Mehidy has also shown his batting skills in recent times too scoring useful runs for his team. With newfound confidence and therefore is developing into a skilful allrounder in the making.

On his 2nd position in ICC ODI bowling rankings, Mehidy said that he never thought he will reach 2nd spot in the rankings and thanked his teammates for their support and said that being a test specialist. He wanted to do well in ODIs also and needed to bowl more economically in ODIs. While thriving on batsmen’s mistakes to pick up wickets and keep his spot in the team.

He added that he got big confidence by bowling in the 2019 world cup in England. On non-spinning pitches and did not allow batsmen to dominate him.
