Md Siraj credits the Australian tour for his resurgence as an all-format bowler
Mohammed Siraj is going through the best phase of his career after his breakout test series in Australia which has brought him to the forefront of the Indian pace lineup in any international match.
Md Siraj credits the Australian tour for his resurgence as an all-format bowler. Siraj himself credits the Australian tour for his meteoric rise as a fast bowler in the last 6 months. Which has not only brought him to the forefront of a test selection despite a strong presence of other seniors. But also improved his quality as a T20 bowler as gone are the days when he use to go for runs in slog overs and getting viciously trolled in the social media.
Now Siraj has been lethal in the slog overs bowling with pace and nailing brutal yorkers not allowing any batsman to get away. And also picking up wickets to dismantle the opposition batting thus making him a strong candidate to feature in the T20I world cup. Which 6 months ago looked improbable.
Siraj though not sure whether he will feature in all the tests in England or the WTC final. Has also spoken about the healthy competition amongst the fast bowlers in the squad and very effusive in his praise for the seniors who are free to share any tips with the youngster.
The Indian cricket fans will have an eye on this Hyderabadi fast bowler and wait for him to repeat his Australia heroics. When he was India’s highest wicket-taker in the Test series with 13 wickets in just 3 tests.
