Mandhana maintains the Indian dominance in the hundred with a glorious 78 to take team to final
One day after Deepti Sharma heroics, Smriti Mandhana played a brave innings for Southern Brave as her sparkling 78 off 52 balls was enough to take her team Southern Brave into the final.
Mandhana had huge slices of luck though, as she was dropped off a sitter near the boundary at 0 , was caught at 5 but was reprieved due to a no ball . However, apart from that she looked in sublime touch with her glorious cover drives and leg side shots as she hit 7 fours and 3 sixes. She had a great opening stand of 107 with England international Danielle Watt who made 53 off 34 balls. Southern Brave scored 166/3 in 100 balls and Welsh Fire fell way short losing by 39 runs.
With Smriti, Deepti and Jemimah firing consistently and Shafali coming back to form in the last stages. The Indian girls are having a great time in general in the hundred with Jemimah Rodrigues even adding value off the field. As well with her musical videos and commentary debut with sky sports team.
