Pat Cummins took seven wickets in five matches for KKR this season and also scored a match-winning half-century in 14 balls.

Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders are scheduled to play two matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 14 and Lucknow Super Giants on May 18.  If KKR have to survive in the race for the playoffs, they will have to win both these matches at any cost.  With these two wins, they will have 14 points.  KKR’s chances of reaching the playoffs will depend on the rest of the teams after that.
