Great things are happening in the world of cricket and Jemimah Rodrigues smashing 92 runs off 43 balls is one of them. Indian batter Jemimah surprised the world on Saturday playing for Northern Superchargers in the fourth match of “The Hundred”. Jemimah hit this great score while chasing the target of 132 runs. Northern Superchargers required just 85 balls to get to Welsh Fire’s total after Jemimah’s splendid display of expertise which led the team to a six-wicket win.
The Superchargers were not in great shape just after 18 balls as they had already lost 4 wickets. This is when Jemimah appeared on the field and smashed her match-winning inning. She hit 17 boundaries and 1 six and changed the game for the Northern Superchargers.
Former England skipper, Kevin Pietersen got highly impressed by this performance and took to Twitter to express his happiness. He wrote that Jemimah was his favorite player now.
Rodrigues was going through a rough patch as she was dropped from the team. She turned her stars around with this performance. She did not spread magic only through bat but also took down West Indies off-spinner Hayley Matthews for 29 off 15 deliveries.
No bowlers were spared by Jemimah as she hit 17 boundaries that day. She obviously received the ‘Player of the Match’ award for her outstanding performance.
