Jimmy Neesham gets into a Twitter war with a Pakistani fan

Jimmy Neesham is a very active cricketer on Twitter and speaks on many subjects. The New Zealander is currently in UAE , training with Mumbai Indians for the remainder of IPL 2021 to start from 19 September .

Yesterday, Neesham got into a Twitter war with a Pakistani fan.  New Zealand vs Bangladesh T20I series has started in Dhaka with the Blackcaps miserably losing the first game. They were bowled out for 60 after batting first. The team is led by Tom Latham who was not include in the final New Zealand world cup squad.  Most of the first choice Kiwi players are involved in IPL and hence New Zealand has fielded their second-string team in Bangladesh who earlier had thrashed Australia 4-1 in a 5 match T20I series roughly 2 months back.

Neesham asked on Twitter how to watch the Bangladesh v New Zealand matches live. He got an aggressive reply from a Pakistani fan who said ” Shame on you. Skipped national duties for Money.”

Neesham on that tweet replied :“I’m getting a lot of messages like this so I want to be crystal clear. It is an NZ Cricket player welfare policy that first-choice players aren’t on this tour. I made a request for an exemption but that request was denied.”

The Pakistani fan did not stop there and replied back with hatred . He said :

“We all know what is happening. We aren’t fools. Next T20 Wc will be in Australia. And i will see who will skip IPL in order To participate and prepare for t20 wc and then Play in BBL. It’s all about money game. cricket is not a sport anymore. It’s just Business now.”

Neesham sensibly did not reply for the 2nd time and he got a lot of support from the fans who ridiculed the Pakistani fan for spreading such hatred and being so dis-courteous to Neesham. Jimmy Neesham gets into a Twitter war with a Pakistani fan.

Thus it appears that Neesham expressed his willingness to play the Bangladesh series but the Kiwi Board urged him to play in the IPL due to the obvious reason that all the leading New Zealand players will be acquaint with the pitches in the UAE as the World cup will be play at the same venue .

The Twitter share of Neesham’s interaction with the Pakistan fan is as under
