The mystery continues to surround Hardik Pandya’s bowling availability. Hardik did not bowl in IPL 2020 and was sparingly used in the India white-ball matches. He also missed the India v Australia test series.
Hardik is yet to bowl in the first 3 matches of the current IPL. The questions are being raised on his fitness issues and whether he will be seen bowling in the latter half of the event.
Mahela Jayawardene, the MI coach has finally clarified the status of Hardik’s bowling. He mentioned that during the last ODI vs England, Hardik after bowling 9 overs, developed a shoulder niggle which has not yet healed completely.
Jayawardene stated that Hardik is working on full fitness and once the niggle goes away and he finds it comfortable to bowl, he will start bowling in the matches. The coach hopes that at some stage during the current IPL, Hardik will be available to bowl
