Inconsistency is hampering Samson chances to play for India: Gavaskar. Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar was very frustrated with Sanju Samson’s inability to string together a consistent run of good scores which he said is hampering his chances to play for India.

Sunny said that Sanju scored a glorious hundred in 1st match but since then has flattered to deceive tending to play as if he is continuing the previous innings in his next match.

“First and foremost, the captain has to stand up and deliver. He did it in the first game but that has been the problem with him. That is one of the reasons why he has not been featuring in the Indian team is that he scores runs in one game and then he looks to do it and carry on as if he’s batting in the next game from the same game, and that’s how he keeps getting out,” Inconsistency is hampering Samson chances to play for India: Gavaskar said on Star Sports.

It may be mentioned that Samson scored a gallant 100 in a losing cause in the first match vs Punjab but has struggled to give the team a strong platform ever since. Lack of runs from the captain’s bat is affecting the Royals chances.
