The All India J.P. Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament 2021 for Trident Cup between Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) and Ranstar Cricket Club was held at the IS Bindra Stadium. Ranstar Cricket Club won the toss and opted to field first. Due to early morning rain 50 over match reduced to 20 overs.

Batting first, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA). Openers Prashant Chopra and Shubham Negi anchored the innings with partnership of 84 runs for 1st wicket before Shubham Negi was caught by Puneet Bisht off Rahul Chaudhary for 35 runs with 5 fours. After that, Pranshant Chopra and Ekant Sen duo put up score of 40 runs. Ekant Sen scored 20 runs with one four and one six also soon left after being caught by Chetanya Bishnoi off Rahul Chaudhary.

Pranshant Chopra played breathtaking shots as he plundered 72 runs in 48 balls with 5 fours and four sixes. HPCA scored 175/3 in 20 overs. Naveen Kanwar (3 for 15), Ayush Jhamwal (3 for 28) and Vipen Sharma (2 for 21) best bowlers who took most wickets for the team.

In reply, Ranstar Cricket Club got off to a steady start as they lost one of their opener Chetnya Bishnoi in very first over without any score and then got out by Shubham Negi off Naveen Kanwar. Pradeep Malik scored 26 runs in 11 balls with three fours and two sixes and Sumit Verma scored 36 runs with one four and two sixes were the main scorers for the team. Ranstar were got all out for 100 in 15.2 overs only. Rahul Chaudhary took (2 for 24) was best wicket taker for the team.

Naveen Kanwar of HPCA was named Trident Man of the Match

HPCA got the cash prize of Rs.2 lakh and trophy and Ranstar Cricket Club Delhi received a cash prize of Rs. 1.00 lakh and the trophy. Kanwar was named man of the match, while Chopra was adjudged man of the series. HPCA’s Akash Vashisht got the best bowler award and PCC’s Nehal Wadhera received the best batsman award.
