After India won the fourth T20I against England by eight runs, former Pakistan Captain Inzamam Ul Haq stated his choice for the title of Man of the Match. He feels that India has the ability to make a comeback in the series is tremendous. He compares it to the remarkable performance displayed by team India during the England and Australia Test series where Team India lost the initial matches but eventually won the series. Team India had lost the first and third matches during the series but they won the second and fourth one and won the series ultimately. He further added that Virat Kohli’s squad is displaying a similar game in this series against England too.
In Inzamam’s opinion, team India is able to cope up with such stressful conditions only because of the youngsters in the team. The young blood kind of adds the required ‘zing’. Since the tour of Australia, the likes of Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and others have had a key role to play and even now, in the fourth T20I it was Suryakumar Yadav’s half-century that allowed the team to post 185 batting first. Inzamam reckons the emergence of India’s youngsters is the primary reason behind their success in world cricket and that they are the ones that are responsible for taking the team forward.
