The former England captain, Michael Vaughan stated that he is not quite happy with the current Indian T20I team that is up playing against England. He further added that this is in regards to the constant changes being made to the Playing XI. England’s Captains statement can be directly related to the recent change in the Playing XI for the third T20I on Tuesday. The audience here saw Rohit Sharma being brought to open the batting with KL Rahul and leaving out Suryakumar Yadav who was seen making his Indian debut one game ago.
Michael estimates that the current Indian team does not look to be as good as it should be. Also, as per him, the additions of the two senior players i.e. the fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja would totally revamp the way the team operates. The viewers would not be able to see Bumrah during the T20I as he was granted leave by BCCI on personal grounds the reason for the same is now evident (his wedding). On the other hand, Jadeja too is in recovery mode as he fractured his thumb during the India-Australia Test series.
“When you are against the best team in the world and it very much reminded me of England in the Test series. Chopped and changed everything and they are not that great a Test match team. This Indian T20 team is not that good.” stated Michael Vaughan in an interview.
