Finch and Smith part of the Australia World cup T20I squad
Cricket Australia has announced the World cup T20I squad. And all the big guns who missed the West Indies and Bangladesh T20I series are returning to the fold.
Aaron Finch, who is in a race against time to get fit for the T20I World cup is announce. As the captain and Pat Cummins returning to the side is the vice-captain.
Steve Smith, who had an elbow injury is back in the T20I squad. After missing the West Indies and Bangladesh tours.
Other top players who skipped the West Indies and the Bangladesh squads and who are back in the World cup squad are David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell & Kane Richardson.
A notable name missing from the squad is of fast bowler Jhye Richardson .
A new addition to the squad is Josh Inglis after his brilliant showing in white-ball cricket on a consistent basis . Inglis is regard as very promising by Ricky Ponting.
Fast bowlers Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff along with top-order batters Alex Carey, Moises Henriques, Josh Philippe and Ashton Turner are the most notable omissions after Australia slumped to their fifth consecutive T20I series defeat against Bangladesh earlier this month. They lost both the last two T20I series vs West Indies and Bangladesh by identical margins of 4-1 .
