Dwayne Bravo’s final international washed out by rains
The West Indies v Pakistan T20I series has been a big disappointment due to rain washout in 3 of the matches at Providence. Initially one game was reduced from the 5 match series to make it a 4 match affair . Only the 2nd game was completed which Pakistan batting first won in an absolute thriller by 7 runs . However the 1st , 3rd and the 4th game were virtually total washouts enabling Pakistan to win the series. Dwayne Bravo’s final international washed out by rains as Pak win T20I series v WI.
The 4th game started promisingly for the West Indies as they rattled up 30 for no loss with both Gayle & Fletcher looking onimous before the rains took over to effectively end the series and also ends Dwayne Bravo’s final appearance in an international in West Indies. Bravo will retire after the World cup T20 to be held in UAE.
Dwayne Bravo who made his debut in 2004, has been a fine player for West Indies across 3 formats but specially in the white ball cricket. A skilful allrounder, his hitting which is a mixture of brutal & sublime shots got many quick runs for the West indies as also was his death bowling with yorkers and slower ones which choked the runs and got wickets for his team. He still continues to display his skills in the IPL with CSK. The World T20I will be his swansong.
Kieron Pollard after the washed out final T20I also praised Bravo, stressing on his impact on the West indies cricket and younger players saying that Bravo wanted to finish playing in the West Indies.
