Dr. Vijay Dutta expressed happiness over Shweta Sehrawat being named player of the tournament in the Indian women’s U-19 T20 World Cup win

New Delhi | Dr. Vijay Dutta, Principal, Modern School, Barakhamba expressed happiness over the Indian women’s Under-19 team becoming T20 world champions and Shweta Sehrawat, a student of Modern School, becoming the player of the tournament. Shweta Sehrawat studied from class 8 to 12 from Modern School Barakhamba and passed her class 12th in 2022 with 84 percent marks. During this period, Dr. Vijay Dutta and the school administration provided all possible support to Shweta Sehrawat. It is to be known that Shweta Sehrawat played an important role in making India team world champion by scoring 293 runs in the tournament.

Dr. Vijay Dutta recognized Shweta Saharawat’s talent in Modern School and provided her all possible facilities. Even Shweta Sehrawat continued her cricket practice during the lockdown and continued her hard work by taking online coaching. Simple living and high thinking, Shweta always followed the school rules. She gave meaning to the statement of Dr. Dutta, Principal of the school, that success does not require any flashy gadgets, power and money. Shweta Sherawat led Modern School Barakhamba Road to victory in the All India Women’s IPSC Cricket Tournament under her able leadership. Modern School is a pioneer school in Delhi cricket which provides proper cricketing infrastructure to the budding players, so that the budding players of Delhi can hoist their glory at the national level.
